It is fun to have the engagement portraits taken. The setting is casual; the atmosphere is relaxed.
If we do this outdoors, I often ask you to enjoy it as a date. Have a seat on the park bench and watch the passers by. Lie on the grass and see clouds turning into imaginery beasts. Jump into the fountain and get very wet. Make sure you do the latter last.
Engagement portraits provides a great balance to the formal look of the wedding day images. They are great as intros on your album. You can also use them as reception hall display and announcement/invitation card image.
